Icehouse Pottery is a not for profit group formed in 2005 to enable local artists a place to meet, make, learn and showcase their work. Our first studio was located in an old icehouse just around the corner from our current location.
It's simply a wonderful place to expand your talents. We offer so much more than studio space. There are potters with all skills levels....some wheel throwers, some hand builders, and some alternative firing nuts. We have it all.
We have six wheels available. Some are reversible for lefties.
Our glaze room has a full complement of studio glazes,
a spray booth, and a triple sink.
We have two large kilns, a Bailey and an L&L.
For rolling out large slabs,
we have a wide slab roller and two large tables.
Each member has their own shelving system to store their work and personal tools. There are also additional member storage shelves in the basement.
Icehouse has a good assortment of chemicals
for compounding our studio glazes. You may also make
your own glazes for a nominal fee.
